Charged for terrorism, accused is granted bail (Yasin Mohamad)

After hearing that he had been granted bail this morning in a Brampton court, accused homegrown terrorist Yasin Mohamed smiled and locked eyes with his beaming father. As the decision was read, audible sighs of relief could be heard from relatives of the 26-year-old, who is charged with belonging to a cell that was allegedly plotting to bomb several targets in Ontario.

“We are very relieved,” said father Mohamed Hagi-Mohamud during a break in the proceedings, after saying a prayer of thanks in a quiet corner of the courthouse hallway.

8. The Abu Ghraib Jail of Toronto; The Milton Maplehurst!

Again, we are back to the utterly Anti-Muslim policy of the Abu Ghraib Jail of Toronto; also known as The Maplehurst Correctional centre. Today, December 18, 2007 is the big feast day of Hajj for Muslim people. Families are looking forward to talk to their loved ones who are in custody and ease their pain a little. We also have to remind the reader that these guys are not “guilty” yet. They are innocents until the court say its word. However, as usual, the Milton Abu Ghraib ‘torture” center - also known as Maplehurst jail; has decided to further punish these guys because they are Muslims.

Terror suspect granted bail (Yasin Mohamed)

TORONTO - One of the 18 men accused of being a homegrown terrorist was granted bail Thursday. After spending more than two years in jail, Yasin Mohamed, 26 walked out of a Brampton, Ont., courthouse into the arms of his elated family. “I feel overjoyed,” Mohamed said before hugging his younger brother. “I am finally reunited with my family. I just look forward to spending time with them.”
