PRESS RELEASE

NEW FILM VINDICATES TORONTO TERROR SUSPECTS; ALLEGES ENTRAPMENT BY RCMP

Shocking facts about alleged “homegrown terrorism” in Toronto are revealed for the first time in a new and independent documentary.

The film, entitled “Unfair Dealing”, is the creation of Toronto-area broadcaster David Weingarten. “Unfair Dealing” examines the ongoing case of 18 mostly Muslim Canadians, arrested during the summer of 2006 and accused of plotting to detonate fertilizer-bombs in Southern Ontario. The film contains exclusive interviews with:

  • Tariq Abdelhaleem, father of suspect Shareef Abdelhaleem
  • Ken Kerr, witness and neighbour of the warehouse which received the bomb-making materials, or ammonium nitrate

QUOTE: “Any features we’ve seen on this particular topic are pretty biased,” says writer and narrator David Weingarten. “They unfairly paint the suspects a shade of guilty.”

“We’ve created a film that looks at the suspects the way they’re supposed to be looked at in a free and just society – innocent until proven guilty.”

“Our documentary serves as a comprehensive guide to how this case developed into what it has.”

“Unfair Dealing” also examines some of the controversial evidence and facts involved in the ongoing case of alleged “homegrown terrorism”, including:

  • The fact that federal MP Wajid Kahn was instrumental in surveillance of the suspects
  • The fact that one paid informants degree in ‘agricultural engineering’ gave him - and only him - the capability to buy the alleged bomb-making fertilizer
  • The fact that the warehouse which received the bomb-making materials is within 500 meters of the RCMP detachment in Newmarket, Ontario, at 1228 Gorham St., Unit 6
  • The allegation that the RCMP secured the rental of the warehouse - not the suspects - according to an exclusive interview with Ken Kerr of 1228 Gorham Street, as told to him by the warehouse co-owner, Robert Lassaline. This allegation challenges Crown documents stating that Shareef Abdelhaleem was the one to secure rental of the warehouse
  • The well-documented history of RCMP and CSIS dirty-trick tactics and staged operations (Phony FLQ Manifesto, Barn-Burning, Operation Bricole, Operation Ham, Operation Kabriole, Project Thread, Etc…)

QUOTE: “As we have seen in the taser-death of Robert Dziekanski, and during the RCMP dirty-tricks campaign at the SPP Montebello protests in Quebec, citizen-journalism has the potential to break news and information, and command political attention in the form of inquiries and investigations” says writer and narrator David Weingarten. “This film highlights some of the little-known facts about an extremely important case that is likely to remain in the courts for years. It really is something the public needs to see.”

  1. Great effort. There are too many anomalies with the entire episode of 911 and post 911. The powers around the world lined up to either with us or against us tune. The truth and justice has lost its meaning. It’s a loot and grab – either loot with us or against us.

  2. Nice analogy John B - either loot with us or against us. Watching this video, apparently Mubeen Shaikh and other mole and others were following the same line. It’s just a booty!!!

Kudos to David Weingarten, one Canadian who can raise his head high for siding with justice and peace. Very brave effort.

Unfortunately, we Muslims are spending most of our time counting our money and watching the comedy show on our lovely couch, whilst most of us will be proud to claim that Quran stand for justice and peace.. but honestly, we don’t get it.

    Thank you Mr Weingarten.

  3. Asalam Alaikum

I would like to know what I can do to help. I feel very helpless, on of the accused is like my brother. We both re-verted to islam, and been friends long before that, and I know that he is 100% innocent.

IF there is anything I could do please please let me know.

  4. Wa alaikum assalam,

What brothers can do is be sureties to the brothers in jail. Those who haven’t made bail yet still need the community to stand up for them, and that means guaranteeing they will be supervised out of the prison.

I know that Jamaal James is in dire need of sureties. His lawyer was ready to run his bail, but then his surety changed his mind.

What a surety does is swear that he/she will supervise the accused while that person is in house arrest. Either a family member who lives with the accused or the accused lives with the surety. Some money/equity has to be pledged to assure the Judge you are serious in your commitment to moniter the person, as you could loose that money if they breach the bail conditions.

The three youth who have had their charges dropped were ON BAIL when this took place. The brothers NEED BAIL to get to the next stage if they are to avoid years waiting in prison and a long and drawn out trial just to be proven innocent.

Please gather support for the bails!!! After your duahs, this is the most valuable thing you can do for them.

May Allah accept and reward your efforts, ameen.

  7. Assalama Aleikum. The Documentary was an excellent work. This Documentary has to spread in all the links and forums to let people to see and understand with there common sence. So many questions and mysteries are behind the whole story. All the people which they orchestrate all this against our sons and also the people which they sold themselfs for the money they will be the loosers in this life and the life after.Money go and comes but morals and principals you cannot buy them.it has to be in the persons character. Our sons in the prison for almost two years and still three of them my son Zakaria Fahim and Ali in a solidary confinement out of the public view and away from puplic oversight.May Allah give them patient and protect them from the evil people. If we are real muslims we know very well that the religion is based on truth and patient. We have to work according to the truth and of course we cannot do that without patience because patience is half of Iman and Allah knows best.I hope that justice will come because profiling people by their religion is against the charter rights and freedom.

  8. If you can please get it uploaded to a website so that it can be downloaded and spread.

This would make it easier to screen in universities and other activist communities. Thanks. :)
